As a precaution, the City of Nice has ordered the closure of all beaches and the coastal path from 8pm on Thursday evening.

Access will be strictly prohibited during the warning period due to the risk posed by strong waves and overtopping along the shoreline.

Local authorities have activated safety and monitoring measures ahead of the expected rough sea conditions.
