The subsidised one-, two- and three-week programmes are aimed at children aged 10 to 17 and take place at Outward Bound centres in the Lake District, West Wales and the Scottish Highlands.

Participants travel as escorted groups from Monaco and take part in outdoor activities such as hiking, kayaking, climbing and navigation exercises.

The programmes focus on building resilience, confidence and teamwork through structured challenges adapted to different age groups.

Younger participants develop basic outdoor and team skills, while older teenagers take on more demanding expeditions and leadership roles.

Outward Bound, founded in the UK during the Second World War, now operates in more than 30 countries.

The Monaco branch offers subsidised access to the UK programmes, making them more affordable for local families.
