On Tuesday 21 April, the Carlone campus will welcome the third edition of the Public Sector Jobs and Careers Forum, bringing together more than 20 public employers and over 1,000 vacancies.
Open from 9:30am to 4pm, the event is designed to connect candidates directly with recruiters, whether they’re students, graduates, professionals or jobseekers looking for a fresh start.
The idea is simple: make public sector careers more accessible through face-to-face exchanges rather than online applications.
A wide range of roles will be on offer, covering everything from administration and education to healthcare, security, technical services and logistics.
Organisations taking part include the Nice University Hospital, the education authority, police and armed forces, as well as local institutions like the City of Nice, the Metropolis and the Departmental Council.
Importantly, not all positions require passing traditional competitive exams, often seen as a barrier.
Many roles are available through alternative pathways, including contracts, apprenticeships and temporary positions.
To help visitors navigate these options, the day will also feature a series of round-table discussions.
These sessions will focus on how to enter the public sector, how to build and develop a career within it, and the wide variety of jobs available — some of which are still relatively unknown.
Support will also be available on-site, with guidance on exam preparation, mentoring and career development tools.
With free entry and such a broad mix of opportunities, the forum aims to show that the public sector is not only accessible, but also full of possibilities.
