Prince Albert II took part in the 8th European Political Community summit on May 4 in Yerevan, Armenia, joining around forty European leaders to discuss key issues including security, cooperation and the ecological transition.

The summit, which brings together both EU and non-EU countries, focused on strengthening dialogue across the continent.

During a roundtable on economic security and environmental transition, the Prince highlighted the close link between sustainable development and economic stability, stressing the importance of avoiding new energy dependencies while promoting innovation and the circular economy.

He also participated in discussions on the European Coalition Against Drugs, an initiative launched in 2025 to improve cooperation in tackling drug trafficking and related financial networks.

On the sidelines of the summit, Prince Albert held several bilateral meetings, including with the President of Romania, the Irish Prime Minister and the Head of Government of Andorra, reaffirming Monaco’s commitment to international cooperation.

The visit began the day before with a formal dinner hosted by Armenian leaders for all participating heads of state and government.
