Prince Albert II attended the Monte-Carlo Philharmonic Orchestra’s final summer concert at the Prince’s Palace, which also marked Kazuki Yamada’s last appearance as the orchestra’s Artistic and Music Director.
Prince Albert II attended the closing concert of the Monte-Carlo Philharmonic Orchestra’s summer season on Thursday, 6 August, bringing another season of performances at the Prince’s Palace to a close.

Held in the Cour d’Honneur of the Palace, the evening brought together conductor Kazuki Yamada and acclaimed pianist Alexandre Kantorow for a programme dedicated to the works of Franz Liszt and Maurice Ravel.
The concert carried particular significance for the orchestra, as it marked Kazuki Yamada’s final appearance as Artistic and Music Director of the Monte-Carlo Philharmonic Orchestra.
Yamada took the helm of the orchestra for the last time in the historic setting of the Palace courtyard, concluding an important chapter with the OPMC alongside Kantorow at the piano.
The evening also brought the Philharmonic’s summer season at the Prince’s Palace to a symbolic close, with Prince Albert II in attendance for the occasion.
