Organised by the Monegasque Association of Olympic Athletes (AMAO), the initiative brought together around thirty students from Collège Charles III in Monaco and Collège Bellevue in Beausoleil.
Starting from Place du Palais, participants walked through Monaco-Ville towards the Stade du Devens, collecting litter along the way.
The event aims to promote environmental responsibility through action, with young people at the heart of the initiative.
Accompanied by Olympians and officials, including Minister of State Christophe Mirmand, the group combined sport and civic engagement in a hands-on effort.
Now in its fifth year, the clean-up reflects the values of the Olympic movement — respect, solidarity and commitment — while raising awareness about everyday environmental issues.
Cigarette butts were among the most commonly collected items, underlining the importance of continued efforts.
Supported by Monaco’s sanitation services, the waste collected is sorted and analysed at the end of the event.
