Prince Albert II has officially welcomed five new ambassadors to Monaco after receiving their letters of credence during a ceremony at the Prince’s Palace.
Prince Albert II has formally received the letters of credence from five newly accredited ambassadors during a ceremony at the Prince’s Palace, marking the official start of their diplomatic missions in Monaco.

The ambassadors represent the Philippines, Finland, Iceland, Sweden, and the Sovereign Military Order of Malta.
The diplomats received by the Sovereign were Eduardo José Atienza de Vega (Philippines), Kirsikka Lehto-Asikainen (Finland), María Mjöll Jonsdottir (Iceland), Carole Vicini (Sweden), and Daniela Memmo d’Amelio (Sovereign Military Order of Malta).
The presentation of letters of credence is a key diplomatic step that allows ambassadors to formally represent their countries and carry out their duties in the Principality.
Beyond the ceremonial aspect, these meetings also provide an opportunity to discuss cooperation and relations between Monaco and partner nations, covering areas such as diplomacy, culture, the environment and the economy.
Following the ceremony at the Palace, the ambassadors attended a luncheon hosted by the Department of Diplomatic and Consular Relations at the Hôtel Hermitage.
