The department was placed on yellow alert for rain and flooding on Monday evening, with wet conditions continuing into Tuesday, when thunderstorms are also forecast.

Temperatures are expected to remain cool, reaching around 12–14°C on the Côte d’Azur and dropping to 5°C or lower in higher mountain areas.

Wednesday is likely to stay largely cloudy, with further showers possible and snow forecast in mountain communes such as Saint-Étienne-de-Tinée and Saint-Auban.

After more widespread rain on Thursday, conditions are expected to improve on Friday, with sunshine returning and temperatures rising to around 17°C on the coast.
