According to the latest civil registry figures, 202 couples married in Monaco last year, up from 176 in 2024.

Most unions involving Monégasque nationals were international: only four marriages joined two Monégasques, while the vast majority involved foreign partners.

Birth numbers remained broadly stable at 732, slightly higher than the previous year, with almost half of all babies born to unmarried parents.

Boys outnumbered girls, and nearly all births took place at the Princess Grace Hospital, which continues to serve families from neighbouring French towns as well as Monaco itself.

The data also showed a rise in deaths and a modest increase in divorces, underlining shifting demographic patterns in the Principality, whose civil registry has recorded life events for centuries.
