The £5 coins, designed by artist Ffion Rees, feature all five members in silhouette alongside their signatures, marking three decades since the release of their debut single Wannabe.

In a first for the Mint’s “music legends” collection, fans can also choose packaging dedicated to their favourite band member, with each version strictly limited to 15,000 worldwide.

Prices start at £18.50, with colour, silver and gold editions also available.

The Royal Mint says it expects huge demand from collectors keen to own a piece of 1990s pop history.
