Seahawks claim Super Bowl crown with 29–13 win over Patriots

The Seattle Seahawks have won the NFL Super Bowl, securing a 29–13 victory over the New England Patriots in the showpiece event of the American football season.

The game, played overnight, drew a huge global audience, with more than 100 million people expected to have tuned in to watch the final.

The win marks a major achievement for Seattle, who controlled the scoreboard and finished the match with a comfortable margin over their opponents.

The Patriots were unable to close the gap as the Seahawks maintained their lead through the later stages of the game, eventually sealing the championship with a 16-point advantage.

The result crowns Seattle as Super Bowl champions and brings the NFL season to a close in front of one of the largest TV audiences of the year.
