The strapless, form-fitting dress featured 200 feather, organza, and silk muslin flowers and was designed under the direction of Chanel’s creative head Matthieu Blazy.

Gomez paired it with classic black Chanel slingbacks and jewelry from the house, while her makeup, by Hung Vanngo, used only Rare Beauty products, her own cosmetics brand.

This appearance marked a major red-carpet return for Blazy, who has been dressing celebrities in this new, modern vision of Chanel since his appointment last October.

The gown drew widespread attention for its intricate craftsmanship and for reaffirming Chanel’s renewed spotlight during awards season.
