Ski resort closes slopes – Due to the lack of snowfall over the last month, the small ski resort of Turini-Camp d'Argent (Alpes-Maritimes), in the Mercantour massif, has closed its slopes during the school holiday period.
The resort now offers holidaymakers a chance to try their hand at summer tobogganing. Due to the lack of snow the resort decided to close the slopes on February 13th. Those holidaymakers who had reserved can try the “tube toboggan”, an activity which consists of sledging on a slope equipped with a synthetic carpet.
This is the first time that the resort has had to close its slopes in what is normally one of the busiest times.
