Speed limit - Due to a repeated rise in air pollution the city council in Lyon has introduced a 70km hour speed limit on its ring road replacing the previous 90km/h limit. Lyon is the third city in France to reduce the speed of its ring road after Paris and Lille. Five years ago, the Paris ring road went from 70 km/h resulting in a 15% drop in road accidents.
