A number of tram and bus services will operate to Sunday and public holiday timetables, while other routes are expected to run as normal.

Commercial ticket offices and Park Azur facilities will remain open, but the Mobil’Azur and on-demand transport call centre will be closed for the day.

The industrial action has been called by the SUD Solidaires and CFTC-UNSA unions following annual pay negotiations.

Although staff were offered a 1.5% general pay rise and a €400 one-off bonus, the unions say the measures do not adequately address rising living costs, working conditions or recognition for employees.

According to SUD Solidaires, around 35% of bus and tram drivers are taking part in the strike, with a demonstration planned outside the tram operations centre on Wednesday morning.

Passengers are advised to check timetables before travelling and allow extra time for their journeys.
