Summer Olympics 2024 - According to reports discussions are under way to allow breakdancing, surfing, climbing and skateboarding to be part of the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris. Discussions are underway and the final decision is to be announced on February 21st. Surfing, climbing and skateboarding are already part of the 2020 Olympic Games program in Tokyo, but not breakdancing, a proposal made by the French Dance Federation. Breakdancing which is considered to be halfway between art and sport originated in difficult neighbourhoods, and now plans to meet the requirements of the International Olympic Committee in order to appeal to a younger audience.
