This year’s patron is Santa. As always, the Téléthon aims to fund research into rare diseases and help accelerate advances in gene therapy.

Cagnes-sur-Mer is especially active this year, with around 40 events organised from late September through to early February, making it one of the region’s most committed participants.

In Saint-Laurent-du-Var, the Téléthon will open on Friday 5 December at 6.30 p.m. on Place de la Fontaine, followed by a concert by the Chœur du Sud at 8.30 p.m.

Activities and performances will continue throughout Saturday in various locations around the town hall. Beaulieu-sur-Mer will also take part on Saturday 6 December under the slogan “Together to beat disease”, joining the national mobilisation.

Donations can be made online via the Téléthon website, supporting the organisation’s ongoing efforts to fund scientific research and provide hope to families affected by rare genetic conditions.
