Temperatures set to soar to 30C this week across the Alpes-Maritimes
The Alpes-Maritimes is expected to enjoy a return to sunny and much warmer weather later this week, with temperatures climbing towards 30C.
After a stormy start to the week, sunshine and near-summer temperatures are set to return to the Alpes-Maritimes, with highs of up to 30C expected by Friday.

Météo-France placed the department on yellow thunderstorm alert on Monday, with heavy showers and storms affecting much of the Riviera.
Temperatures remained mild, reaching around 20C along the coast.
Conditions are expected to improve from Tuesday, with sunny spells developing through the afternoon and temperatures climbing steadily throughout the week.
By Wednesday and Thursday, bright sunshine will dominate across the Côte d’Azur, with inland areas expected to reach 28C.
Friday is forecast to be the hottest day of the week, with temperatures potentially hitting 30C in parts of the Var valley and around 25C to 26C in Nice, Antibes and Menton.
The weekend should remain warm and sunny along the coast, although thunderstorms could return to northern mountain areas during the afternoons.
