The Monte-Carlo Television Festival has announced that The Walking Dead: Dead City will officially open its 65th edition, with the international premiere of the first two episodes of season three taking place at the Grimaldi Forum on 12 June.

Fans of the hit franchise will have the opportunity to see the new season before its US release, with stars Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Lauren Cohan expected to attend alongside showrunner Seth Hoffman.
The series follows Negan and Maggie as they navigate a post-apocalyptic Manhattan, continuing one of television's most successful zombie universes.
The premiere is set to be one of the highlights of this year's festival, which runs from 12 to 16 June and celebrates its 65th anniversary with an impressive line-up of guests and events.
Several major awards will be presented during the festival.
Kristin Scott Thomas and Kurt Russell will receive the prestigious Crystal Nymph Award in recognition of their careers, while French television icon Michel Drucker will be honoured with an Honorary Nymph.
Rising stars Ester Expósito and Matthew Broome will also be recognised with the International Golden Nymph Award for Most Promising Talent.
Organisers say this anniversary edition aims to honour the festival's long history while embracing the future of television, from streaming platforms to digital content and new storytelling formats.
