According to information revealed by Variety, HBO is considering several filming locations in France, with the Château de La Messardière in Saint-Tropez emerging as one of the main backdrops.
Overlooking the Bay of Pampelonne and surrounded by vineyards and pine trees, the 19th-century château is now a luxury hotel within the Airelles collection.
Originally built as a private residence, it became a fashionable retreat in the early 20th century before undergoing a major restoration that returned it to its former grandeur.
Today, its terraces, gardens and historic salons make it a natural fit for the show’s signature mix of opulence and underlying tension.
Filming for season 4 is expected to run from late April through October, with the story unfolding across multiple locations on the Côte d’Azur.
As with previous seasons, the series will not be confined to a single property, and a Paris hotel is also set to feature.
While plot details remain tightly under wraps, the French setting marks a stylish new chapter for Mike White’s hit series.
