The initiative, organised throughout the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region, will see volunteers gather at more than 400 collection points stretching from the Mediterranean coast to mountain villages.
Participants are invited to spend part of the day collecting rubbish in beaches, parks, hiking trails and urban spaces close to home.
Organisers say the campaign is designed to show how small individual actions can have a visible impact on local communities and natural spaces.
Last year’s event drew around 25,000 volunteers, who collected an estimated 85 tonnes of waste.
Regional authorities say the operation forms part of a wider environmental strategy focused on reducing plastic waste and illegal dumping by 2030.
People can sign up online to find their nearest clean-up point and join the initiative individually, with friends or as families.
