Thunderstorms, strong winds and temperatures of up to 35°C forecast across the Riviera
Cloudy skies, thunderstorms and gusty winds are forecast across the Alpes-Maritimes and Var this Thursday, while temperatures could reach 35°C in some inland areas.
The weather is set to become increasingly unsettled across the region today, with thunderstorms mainly affecting inland areas while the coast is expected to remain largely dry.

In the Alpes-Maritimes, skies will be cloudy from the morning, with temperatures of between 28°C and 30°C along the coast.
Conditions are expected to become more unsettled during the afternoon, with thundery showers and a risk of thunderstorms across inland and mountainous areas.
Coastal areas should largely escape the rain.
Winds will also pick up, with gusts of up to 50 km/h expected along the coast and windy conditions around Grasse.
No specific weather warnings are currently in place for the Alpes-Maritimes.
Similar conditions are expected across the Var, where cloud will thicken throughout the day.
Winds will affect much of the department, with gusts generally reaching between 40 and 55 km/h and up to 60 km/h in Hyères.
Temperatures will remain high, generally reaching between 28°C and 31°C during the afternoon.
