Train line to reopen

Train line to reopen - An SNCF line between the Gard and the Vaucluse is to resume service from today Monday 29th August. Closed for 50 years the line which connects Pont-Saint-Esprit, Avignon and Nîmes is expected to welcome 200,000 passengers a year and will allow the 75,000 inhabitants of the northeast of Nîmes to save up to 40% in travel time to get to Avignon, compared to a rush hour car journey.
