Located in the heart of the resort, the venue brings together a wide range of spaces, including a cinema, a departmental media library, the Mercantour National Park centre, and areas dedicated to exhibitions, workshops and events.
At the heart of the project is a 12-metre immersive planetarium, equipped with cutting-edge projection and sound technology, offering a unique experience for visitors of all ages.
Designed as a year-round destination, the DOME will gradually roll out a full programme of activities, from educational workshops to conferences and immersive experiences.
The building also reflects strong environmental commitments, using geothermal energy and benefiting from a high-level sustainable construction label.
It fits into the wider dynamic of the Alpes d’Azur Mercantour, recognised for the quality of its night sky as an International Dark Sky Reserve.
While some outdoor spaces are still being completed, the site is already fully operational, with an official inauguration expected in the coming months.
