Beach weather

Sea temperatures in Menton, Monaco, and Nice are delightfully warm at around 25.4–25.5 °C. Take note midday—UV levels climb into the high range, so sun protection and shade are highly recommended. Gentle breezes—north to southeast at about 11 km/h in Menton and a southwest breeze near Monaco. Overall, it's an excellent day for soaking up the sun or lounging by the water—just don’t forget your sunscreen.

Photo - Perched dramatically on a cliffside in the hills above Nice, the medieval village of Peillon feels frozen in time. Narrow stone lanes, vaulted passageways, and terraced houses cascade down the rocky outcrop, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding Provençal landscape. With no cars allowed in the village centre, it’s a quiet, timeless escape. Peillon’s 15th-century chapel, Chapelle des Pénitents Blancs, houses rare frescoes by artist Giovanni Canavesio—among the most remarkable in the region, and still remarkably well-preserved.
