Light rain is falling across the area throughout Monday, gradually becoming heavier overnight before easing by the following afternoon.

Coastal areas are also being hit by strong winds, with gusts reaching up to 60 km/h in places such as Menton, and around 55 km/h in Nice and Antibes.

Temperatures are noticeably cooler than usual for early May, peaking at around 19°C at best, roughly four degrees below seasonal averages.

While no weather warnings are currently in place, it’s a grey and breezy day across the Riviera, with little sign of improvement in the short term.
