The committee added that the Alpes-Maritimes and Monaco have been able to maintain "high tourist attendance in a difficult context", due to social movements.
Hotel nights were up 1.4% with the demand increasing sharply from Japan (+ 20%) and Russia (+ 9%). On the other hand, demands from the Middle East showed a net decline of -26% and 4 or 5 star hotels still record the best occupancy rate with 65% in 2019, a record since 2001.
